He also discussed his daughter Sailor needing to spend more time with her father.

‘It’s the greatest job in the world, but now that Sailor is nearly two she probably needs to find out who her dad is,’ he said.

Throughout the broadcast, Grant appeared distracted, swinging from side to side and constantly looking off camera and up to the sky.

He looked very slender and seemed preoccupied by something, with his arms and legs moving constantly as he spoke.

While it’s not suggested Grant was under the influence of alcohol during this particular broadcast, the TV star certainly looked tired and run-down.

He even admitted as such, telling viewers the daily travel had ‘taken a toll’.

Grant, who has also battled an addiction to painkillers in the past, admitted to drinking in excess to cope with his anxiety on Tuesday’s episode of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

‘I’d never put two and two together, and I’ve been asking myself this question for five years, “Do I have a problem?” And I think the answer is, “I do,”‘ he said.

Grant explained he only realised the extent of his issues with alcohol when he prepared to enter the wilderness on I’m a Celebrity.

‘And it was coming in here, watching how I couldn’t control the pace at which I was drinking, because I do everything fast,’ he said.

‘I was trying to stem the fear and anxiety of what we were about to do and I thought, “I think I do that every week.”‘

He continued: ‘I think I’ve only just realised… that I drink to lessen anxiety, which I didn’t really realise I had until I saw the pattern of fear coming into here and the anticipation of a new gig and “will I fit in?” [and] “is it going to be fun?”

‘Am I going to be successful in the challenges? Can I be funny for that long? All of these things, and I just started going like this [mimics drinking].’

‘I want to push the button on cancelling it [alcohol] altogether and see how I go,’ he told The Daily Telegraph on Wednesday.

‘I am super worried why that scares me so much, which probably tells me it is something I need to do. I need to stop, it is not improving my life, in fact it is doing the opposite.

‘I am not an alcoholic, I am a three-night-a-week drinker. But it is the amounts that I need to look at and I am not getting anything out of it, so that is going to be the new me in 2021.’
