The UK has officially passed the peak of the coronavirus infection.

The UK government has advised the public to remain indoors in an attempt to curb the spread of the infection.

Despite nearing the final stretch of the COVID-19 outbreak, hundreds of people are still dying in the UK everyday.

Scientists have now revealed the four most predictive groups of coronavirus symptoms.

“All individuals should self-isolate if they develop a new continuous cough or fever or anosmia,” a May statement read from the UK’s four chief medical officers.

“Anosmia is the loss or a change in your normal sense of smell. It can also affect your sense of taste as the two are closely linked.

“We have been closely monitoring the emerging data and evidence on COVID-19 and after thorough consideration, we are now confident enough to recommend this new measure.

“The individual’s household should also self-isolate for 14 days as per the current guidelines and the individual should stay at home for 7 days, or longer if they still have symptoms other than cough or loss of sense of smell or taste.”

Meanwhile, you could also be at risk of coronavirus if you develop diarrhoea, it’s been claimed.

Some scientists have reported that up to 60 percent of people with coronavirus develop diarrhoea.

Looser stools, combined with other COVID-19 symptoms, could be caused by the infection.

But, just because you have diarrhoea, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you have coronavirus.

The government has advised everyone to remain at home to avoid spreading the infection.

You should only be leaving the house for essential work, for exercise, or to collect food or medicine shopping.

More than 276,000 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the UK.

Of those patients, more than 39,000 people have sadly died from COVID-19.
