Sebastian Kessler, a 17-year-old teen with autism, has a daily routine that helps him feel comfortable. But when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Kessler was forced out of his routine.
That’s when his mother, Ida, introduced him to art, which has since helped him find not only a new routine, but his voice. It turns out that Kessler had a talent for art all along, and enjoys making ornamental candles, paintings, jewelry, clay ornaments, holiday decor, and more.
Unicorn Children’s Foundation
Every day, the pair sits together at the table and make Christmas ornaments. Kessler, who barely speaks and has difficult focusing for long periods of time, thoroughly enjoys his time creating his art work. His mom is relieved, since it’s been so hard to find something that Kessler enjoys and is interested in.
Kessler began creating so much art, that Ida didn’t know what to do with it. She knew his beautiful creations deserved so much more than lying around the house.
Unicorn Children’s Foundation
That’s where Unicorn Children’s Foundation comes in. The foundation is a nonprofit in Boca Raton that services children with developmental differences.

They recently opened Uniquely Gifted Boutique, an online space for talented artisans with unique abilities all over the country to display and sell their work.

Not only can you now view Kessler’s art on their online boutique, but you can also purchase it! His work sells out almost weekly and is the boutiques top seller.
A portion of the proceeds benefits Unicorn Children’s Foundation.
“No matter what the limitations they have, they can give to the world more than they can imagine,” Ida told WPBF.
