Raymond Lee Luzier was born on 14 June 1970, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania USA, and is a drummer, known for his custom drum set, and for being part of the metal band Korn from 2009. He has also played with other groups, and is well known to adjust his playing style to the band he performs with. All of his efforts have helped put his net worth to where it is today.

After matriculating in 1988, he then moved to Hollywood, California to attend the Musicians Institute, from which he graduated with a degree from the Percussion Institute of Technology in 1989. He then taught for many years at the Institute, also giving private lessons. In 1997, he started working with David Lee Roth as well as The Hideous Sun Demons which was formed with band members of David Lee Roth, and then became the drummer of Steel Panther, playing with them for six years. In 2004, he worked on a drum instructional DVD released by Hal Leonard Publishing Co.
In 2006, Luzier played with Toshi Hiketa and Billy Sheehan, and was then invited to join the Army of Anyone, which consisted of members from Stone Temple Pilots. The following year, after Korn’s original drummer David Silveria left, Luzier was invited to audition, and having learned 30 songs from Korn despite the requirement of only learning five, he was immediately invited to join the band. In 2008, he made his first performance with Korn in Dublin, Ireland, and would continue touring with them throughout the year, being involved in recording their ninth studio album with Luzier now credited as a full time member of the band.

Aside from playing with Korn, Ray also performed with Stone Temple Pilots for a couple of shows during their reunion tour, filling-in for Eric Kretz who was out for a few dates due to the death of his father. In 2010, Ray then played with the Japanese band Kat-Tun for their song “Change UR World”, which was a big hit. In 2014, he released a self-titled album for a side project KXM.
