Aldi Australia is preparing to launch a new range of naturally-made wines, with vegan-friendly vintages for $6.99 and organic reds for $9.99.
Shoppers can bag 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz bottled at vineyards in Gulgong in the central west region of New South Wales on Wednesday, August 5, as part of the German-owned supermarket’s bi-weekly ‘Special Buys’ sale.
A product description on Aldi’s website claims the ‘Gangsta Garden’ reds are ‘intense, rich wines exhibiting the vibrancy and the power of Mother Nature’.
The wine will be available in selected stores in New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia and the ACT along with a wider collection of affordable alcohol.

Bottles of vegan-friendly 2019 Pinot Grigio and Sangiovese from Italy will be marked down to $6.99.
Six-packs of Mountain Goat Steam Ale, one of the Australia’s first organic-certified beers, will be available for $14.99 with cases of 24 for $59.95.
Described as ‘crisp, refreshing and full of character’, the ale is touted as a ‘great introduction’ for first-time craft beer drinkers.
Alcoholic kombucha will also be on offer, with natural, low-sugar flavours like pink apple and passionfruit available for $16.99 per pack of four.

Health-conscious customers stopping by the German-owned supermarket for Wednesday’s Special Buys sale can also grab bags of sunflower seeds for $3.99, spirulina powder for $9.99 and 1.2 kilograms of natural cashew nuts for $18.99.
Flavoured almonds will be $7.99 while normally expensive nut butter spreads will be discounted to $5.99.
An array of dietary specific snacks will also be reduced, with gluten-free pasta down to $2.99 and gluten-free biscuits just $2.69.
