When it comes to Easter, most of us are thinking about how to entertain the children and the treats we can give them – but it’s been a long year and grown-ups surely deserve some chocolate-induced joy too.

Thankfully, Irish firm Baileys has it covered after releasing a boozy gift for sweet-toothed adults who are looking to celebrate as well.

The new Baileys Chocolate Luxe Mini Eggs cost just £5 online and boast an alcohol-filled creamy centre, encased in smooth milk chocolate, with a shimmering gold-finished shell.

The eggs come in 138g packs of nine, housing a Baileys centre alongside a chocolate truffle filling.

They are available to buy from the Lir Chocolates website lirchocolates.com, for £5, as well as other online retailers such as Amazon.

The mini treats are launching alongside some familiar favourites including Baileys Strawberries and Cream Easter egg.

Its creamy white chocolate shell is complete with a fruity explosion of dried strawberry pieces, while each pack contains four milk chocolate hearts, filled with truffle filling, blended with fresh strawberries.

Each one comes with four chocolates encased in crisp milk chocolate and filled with an oozing Baileys salted caramel centre.

Fans of the upmarket retailer rejoiced at the news, with one exclaiming ‘another Colin glow up’, while another said the design ‘could be the best one yet’.

It comes following last year’s bunny-version of the popular cake – which featured large buck teeth and giant ears – divided opinion after some branded it ‘demonic’ and ‘the most disturbing thing they’ve ever seen’.

But this year’s creation appeared to be a hit with fans, with the retailer’s announcement on Instagram having already raked in more than 10,000 likes.
