The reason why the baked oats are so delicious is because after they have been baked, they come out of the oven with a cake-like consistency.

But the breakfast dish also doesn’t have to be unhealthy, thanks to the high levels of protein and fibre in oats and the ability to top them with healthy nut butters and stewed fruit.

One of the most popular recipes on TikTok is for brownie baked oats, which use banana, rolled oats, almond milk, cocoa powder, baking powder, vanilla essence, maple syrup, strawberries and chocolate to create a decadent dish.

You can also make the trend healthier by way of switching out cookies, biscuits and chocolate for protein powders and fruits.

You could also introduce some nuts and seeds into the mix for increased variety in your dish.
