President Joe Biden is unharmed and quickly moved to a local fire station in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, Saturday afternoon, after a private plane entered the restricted airspace around his beach house, Fox News reported.
“USSS will have a statement shortly. A small private plane entered restricted airspace, all indications are by mistake, and precautionary measures were taken,” a White House official said, according to the outlet.
“There was no threat to the President or his family.”
Local resident Susan Lillard said she saw a “small white plane” flying in the area at 12:45 p.m. EDT, CBS News reporter Bo Erickson tweeted.
One woman who lives nearby, Susan Lillard, tells @CBSNews she saw a small white plane flying over the area where Biden’s beach house is in town. That was around 12:45p. Then she saw the two military-style jets scramble minutes later over the town.

“Shortly before 1 p.m. today a privately owned aircraft entered the restricted airspace over Rehoboth Delaware after mistakenly entering a secured area. The aircraft was immediately escorted out of the restricted airspace,” Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said in a statement, CBS News reported.
“Preliminary investigation reveals the pilot was not on the proper radio channel, was not following the NOTAMS (Notice to Airmen) that had been filed and was not following published flight guidance. The United States Secret Service will be interviewing the pilot,” he continued.
