Christina Aguilera flaunted her incredible weight loss as she appeared for her Las Vegas residency opening night on January 2. The 43-year-old wore a series of skimpy leotards that showcased her curvy, slim figure.

She previously said she “hated being super skinny” and had started embracing and “loving my new curves”, according to Health. While her weight has fluctuated over the years, she said she’s now determined to maintain a slender, strong physique, “while having a booty”.

Her weight loss secret is sticking to a healthy, balanced diet. After the birth of her son Max, in 2008, she reportedly dropped 40lbs by restricting her daily food intake to 1600 calories and following the Rainbow diet.

The diet consisted of sticking to a plant-rich regime, consuming brightly coloured fruits and vegetables every single day.

But since then she’s given up on dieting, Instead, she focuses on eating clean, she told L’Officiel Italia in 2020.

Rather than being restrictive with what she eats, she consumes more whole foods and less sugary snacks.

Alongside her balanced diet she likes to stay active. According to In Touch Weekly she enjoys yoga, boxing, strength training, as well as cardio exercises, working out two to five times a week.

In 2008, her trainer revealed to Glamour she worked out “up until she was eight months pregnant and then started back up a few months later after [her son] Max was born”.

In February 2012, Christina spoke to Marie Claire and said she is now at peace with her figure.

She said: “I’ve been through highs, I’ve been through my lows. I’ve been through the gamut of all things in this business. Being too thin. Being bigger. I’ve been criticised for being on both sides of the scale.”

She added the only opinion she pays attention to is her own. She said: “It’s notice I block out automatically. I love my body. My boyfriend loves my body.

“My son is healthy and happy, so that’s all that matters to me.”
