COLIN Jost and Pete Davidson are still forging ahead to turn their $280,000 investment in a decommissioned Staten Island ferry into a hotel, bar and restaurant despite their fall-out.

A source close to the ferry project exclusively told The U.S. Sun that the vision for the ship has not sunk, despite an alleged rift between the Saturday Night Live colleagues and friends-turned-business partners.

Earlier this week, another insider exclusively told The U.S. Sun that Colin, 42, and Pete, 30, were no longer on speaking terms, and that the SNL Weekend Update host is even refusing to be in the same room as Pete.

If true, it’s an issue that will surely put a kink in their collaboration on the massive project.

The source close to the ferry business venture, however, downplayed rift rumors.

“They’re both very busy, and don’t talk as much as they used to.

“People move on, they work on other things, and other relationships, and they are just not as close to the people that they once worked with previously,” the business source claimed.

Despite the alleged drama between the partners, the idea for a proposed restructuring from a decommissioned ferry to an entertainment venue remains afloat, the insider close to the ferry deal said.

“Where it ends up all depends on what kind of deal they can get with the City of New York.

“They’re all from the city, so the goal is for it to stay there.”

The insider said they are in the process of raising money for projects, but declined to elaborate further.

In a March interview with Curbed, one of the ferry’s four business partners, architect Ron Castellano, explained the mixed-use vision for the ship.

“It’s going to have a lot of things. I think right now, we have six bars and two venues operated separately or combined.”

“We have outdoor event space, we have restaurants — two restaurants.

“It’s a big boat, almost 300 feet long, 65,000 square feet.”

Ron added they hope to have hotel rooms configured into the event space.

“It’s only one floor of hotel rooms: 24 rooms on the fifth level. They have private sundecks.”

As the architect explained, it’s a massive project.

Things could get tricky, as The U.S. Sun reported earlier this week, Colin is allegedly not speaking with Pete.

He has even refused to be in the same building as the younger comedian, let alone in the same room.

COMEDIAN FEUD

It’s gotten to the point that Colin has refused to even be at the famed 30 Rock together with Pete, where Saturday Night Live is taped.

One insider alleged that something big happened between the Saturday Night Live head writer and the show’s alum.

“Colin doesn’t want to be associated with Pete,” the insider claimed.

Pete was photographed in his hometown of Staten Island posing alongside fans in recent weeks on the heels of his latest rehab stint.

While the ferry business’ insider claimed that there are no issues between the two, and that plans are moving forward for the vessel’s overhaul, only Colin, and business partner Paul Italia, appeared for the New York Fashion Week show on the vessel by Tommy Hilfiger.

Pete was nowhere to be seen for the ship’s first party on September 8.

Recently, Colin gave interviews about his and Pete’s purchase of the vessel, and did not speak favorably about their investment from January 2022.

He told People that buying the ferry, also known as the John F. Kennedy, was “absolutely the dumbest and least thought-through purchase I’ve ever made in my life.”

Colin and Pete purchased the ferry at an auction in 2022 for $280,000 in a partnership with architect and developer Ron Castellano and The Stand comedy club owner Paul Italia.

While the reported plans for the ship have varied widely — from an entertainment venue to a floating hotel with bars and restaurants — it’s unclear how the pair’s alleged rift will ultimately impact their investment.

Reps for both Pete and Colin did not respond to requests for comment on their alleged falling-out.

DISAPPEARING DAVIDSON

An insider close to Pete told The U.S. Sun last month that the Bupkis star had vanished from close friends’ lives, and Hollywood friends had turned their backs on him.

The source claimed he “has pretty much gotten rid of everyone who once surrounded him.”

They also claimed that before Pete checked into rehab in July, the comedian had been missing work meetings and that he lost out on at least one project due to his alleged behavior.

Pete checked into rehab just after his split from Madelyn Cline.

A source had told The U.S. Sun at the time that Pete and Madelyn’s relationship had just run its course after a year of dating.

MOST RECENT REHAB STINT

The King of Staten Island actor checked into a wellness facility in July according to People.

A source claimed to the outlet that Pete’s sobriety was a top priority.

However, a source claimed to The U.S. Sun that Pete’s latest rehab stint lasted only weeks.
