Children or older adults, aged over 65, may experience “unusual mood changes”.

This must also be brought to the attention of your doctor, which can include:

  • Talking too much or feeling overexcited
  • Feeling agitated or restless
  • Feeling irritable or aggressive.

If you are fine taking diazepam, but you’ve forgotten a dose, take the missed dose as soon as you remember.

However, there’s an exception – if it’s near the time when you would be taking another dose anyway, only take the one and then continue as normal.
