Lululemon has been leveling up activewear since 1998, so it was only a matter of time before it made its foray into footwear. Enter Lululemon running shoes, one of the most highly-anticipated fitness launches of 2022. The five-piece collection, appropriately named Lululemon for Your Feet, launched today with the Blissfeel running shoe. The Blissfeel is a neutral running shoe (meaning it’s designed for a runner with high arches that do not flex—or for someone that tends to supinate) and features a breathable upper, supportive midsole, and a foam sole that offers plenty of cushioning for clocking effortless miles.

The Blissfeel is available in 10 colors, ranging from vibrant yellow to versatile black. These running shoes have a low profile and streamlined outsole that won’t take away from the rest of your athleisure-filled closet.

Now, here’s what makes this launch just so exciting to us. If you didn’t know, many brands design their footwear lines for men first, then adapt their shoes for women. Each of the athletic shoes from Lululemon is designed for women’s feet first, with a wider forefoot and narrower heel. The brand developed its footwear from scratch, utilizing data from millions of women’s foot scans, conversations with women about what their current running shoes are missing, plus hours of wear-testing.

Starting today, the Lululemon running shoes will be available online and in select stores in North America, China, and the U.K. So you can try them on and pick up a few of your favorite Lulu sports bras and Lulelemon leggings while you’re at it.

In the coming months and into 2023, the brand will roll out four more performance shoes. The Chargefeel (which will be available in low and mid heights), launching this summer, is a cross-training shoe that does double duty for training in the gym and shorter runs. You can also scoop up the Restfeel (a cushy slide designed to help you chill post-workout and pad comfortably around the locker room) this summer. And in the fall, keep your eyes peeled for the Strongfeel training shoe intended for HIIT and weightlifting. Lululemon is planning to roll out a men’s footwear collection next year. It’ll be developed with the same intentionality as the women’s shoes. It’s about time we say goodbye to that old-school adaptation model.
