- Alongside Jung Woo-sung, she co-starred as Deok-yi in the 2014 thriller film Scarlet Innocence, a modern-day retelling of the classic Korean folktale Simcheongga. This role won Esom the Director’s Cut Award for “Best New Actress” in 2015.
- She was cast as Duk-yi in the 2017 historical film Warriors of the Dawn, set during the 1592 Imjin War.
