MasterChef and Celebrity MasterChef star Gregg Wallace, 55, has been sharing the details of his weight loss in the last few months. Though the presenter is best known for testing the foodie creations of the novice chefs on the BBC show, he has been watching his diet much more closely and managed to lose an impressive four stone. In his latest Instagram post he has shown just how much his body has changed.

Gregg has been regularly posting updates on his weight loss and fitness journey on Instagram, having recently launched his own platform to help others to do the same.

The star posted a shirtless photo on Wednesday displaying his toned tummy after his dramatic weight loss, with the caption: “56 next birthday”.

He also added another snap on his Instagram Stories, looking happy as he noted it’s “Almost a six pack!”

Gregg has been slowly working on his body transformation for years, but has recently made headlines for the results of his efforts.

Gregg has previously shared that he weighed 16 stone at his heaviest, but recently posted on Instagram with an update that he was now just under 12 stone.

He also added that being at home in lockdown had helped him stick to his goals.

Whereas he used to have a lot of takeaways and a generally unhealthy diet, Gregg has made lots of changes with plenty of healthy recipes under Anna’s influence.

He has previously admitted that he has cut back on alcohol and fat, and is eating more fruit and vegetables as well as lean protein.

But he also believes in moderation and shuns fad diets, often posting motivational updates on Instagram such as: “You can lose weight without starving yourself and being uncomfortable. I eat nice food and I like a glass of wine. If I did it so can you.”

The star has previously referred to himself as “just the fat, bald bloke on MasterChef who likes pudding.”

However, he has also taken up exercise and has been training with personal trainer Danny Rai, who he tags on Instagram whenever he shares his latest workouts.

The trainer is now part of the new programme, ShowMe.Fit, which Gregg has launched in a bid to help fans transform their lifestyle and lose weight.

The new subscription plan costs £7 a month and gives members access to recipe plans, devised by Anna, as well as workouts by Danny and nutritional advice.

The Instagram account already has over 13,000 followers since launching earlier this summer.

Gregg’s team has already been sharing updates of members who have seen weight loss results from the programme.

One woman revealed she had lost one stone and nine pounds since joining at the start of July, while others reported losing three pounds in a week.

Gregg has also been sharing videos and stories from his own weight loss journey, and recently revealed that doctors told him he was going to die if he didn’t make a change.

He’s also an advocate for how healthy food and better fitness makes you feel, with the ShowMe.Fit account recently posting : “Losing weight not only makes you look how you would like to but it also makes you feel better and live healthier. It does so much more for your physical health other than just losing a few pounds, it also improves your mental health and your general mood.”
