As to be expected, Donald Trump’s most vociferous backers are lining up early to support the former president’s 2024 election bid. Trump announced his candidacy on November 15. Why so soon, one might ask, with multiple potentially game-changing developments brewing and the rest of the field still open?
Many of the names on the growing list are no-brainers, beginning with Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz, Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, House GOP Conference Chair Rep. Elise Stefanik, Arizona’s incoming freshman member of the House, Eli Crane, and Ohio’s Trump-backed Rep.-elect Max Miller, who tweeted:
I wouldn’t be here without his support, and (former) President Trump will always have my support.
As reported by Just the News, other early Trump supporters include Troy Nehls of Texas, Ronny Jackson of Texas, Paul Gosar of Arizona, Clay Higgins of Louisiana, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller, and Rep.-elect Wesley Hunt of Texas, who wrote on social media:
Our country is in a rapid decline thanks to Joe Biden and the Democrat Party.
Categorically true, of course, but the question is and will remain:
Which candidate will emerge with the best chance to make sure Biden and his leftist handlers are kicked out of the White House, the GOP retains control of the House, and regains the Senate majority?
Can we know the answer, today? Of course, not. But some will fiercely insist — until the chickens come home to roost — that Donald Trump and only Donald Trump can be that candidate.
On the Senate side, while Tommy Tuberville of Alabama released a statement in support of Trump’s 2024 run, Texas Sens. Ted Cruz and John Cornyn haven’t publicly endorsed the former president. Cornyn told reporters he will “support the nominee of the Republican Party, but I think there’s likely to be a competitive primary election.” While Trump loyalists loathe Cornyn, his logic, in this case, is undeniably correct.
Several Hollywooders have also already jumped aboard the Trump train, most notably Jon Voight, a yuuge supporter of Trump in 2016 and 2020, and also supports his bid for a second term in 2024.

Voight spoke of Trump in glowing terms in his endorsement in a video:
Let us pray that the one president who understood truths and had the best interests of the American people, the American dream, President Donald Trump, will return to the presidency. He and only he can stop this swamp. Allow President Trump to rebuild our soil and our land so we can rise to our glory.
Not to be contrarian, but if “he and only he can stop this swamp,” why was the “swamp” more ominous when Trump left office than before he was elected, and even worse, now? Simply food for thought for those actually interested in thinking this thing through.
Actors Robert Davi, Antonio Sabato Jr., and Randy Quaid have endorsed Trump as well, with Davi saying:
Listening to Donald Trump made me feel the greatest days of America could be ahead of us. Donald Trump has the balls, common sense, and know-how to lift America out of the destructive path it is currently facing. He communicates plainly to the American people with bold clarity.
I doubt that anyone would argue — from Never Trumpers to Always Trumpers — that Donald Trump doesn’t have cojones. The question is, to what end?
The Bottom Line
The singular objective of true conservatives across America should be which eventual candidate will be in the best position to recapture the White House from the disaster who now sits in the Oval Office.
If Trump emerges as the nominee, I’ll vote for him, as I did in 2016 and 2020. Given the present scenario and developments yet to come, I believe it’s wise for conservatives to keep their powder dry, this far out.
