OK, either Hillary Clinton had a mouse in her pocket or she completely misunderstood the definition of “we” during her most recent pontification about yet another thing “wrong” with “we” in America. If you watched or listened, closely, you soon discovered that Hillary’s “we” didn’t include “me.” Shocked? Me, neither.
Following a recent discussion at Georgetown University about the 1998 Good Friday Agreement, also known as the Belfast Agreement, that ended 30 years of conflict in Northern Ireland, Hillary launched into pompous admonishment about how “we” (Americans) “don’t even want to hear things we disagree with.”
Uh-huh, Hillary. The very woman who, in 2016, called Trump supporters a “basket of deplorables.” But hey, Joe Biden has since promoted Trump and his MAGA loyalists to “semi-fascists,” so there’s that.
Anyway, ladies and gentlemen, let’s check with the rightful (in her mind), former heir to the presidency, in all of her revisionist glory.
As reported by Just the News, Hillary, after musing about how difficult it is to run a society in “today’s environment,” the woman who couldn’t run an even adequate presidential campaign to save her soul went off on the “information ecosystem” and other such nonsense about how our lives “demand so much quick response” that it’s “totally unthought.” Got it? Me, neither.
“It creates so much insulting, threatening rhetoric aimed at people who are trying to do hard things,” Madam Professor professed. I wonder if she included White Americans who are deemed to be riddled with “systemic racism” on the day they’re born — simply because they’re, yeah, white? Or, if it includes people opposed to on-demand abortion until birth, based on moral or religious principles?
And do “despicable” people like the aforementioned still belong in Hillary’s basket of deplorables, or is she now giving them a reprieve?
In reference to the Northern Ireland peace agreement, Hillary further bloviated:
You do not make peace with your friends. You do not negotiate with people you already agree with. It is sometimes difficult in today’s environment for people to want to make the effort, let alone take the risk, to get out of their own comfort zones.
We don’t even want to hear things we disagree with. We don’t want to hear different opinions from people who we have already concluded are outside the pale of our comfort zone.

You cannot run a society, let alone make peace for long if that is your ongoing attitude. ‘I have nothing to learn from this person. I do not see him/her as a fellow human being. There is no reason for us to talk.’
Gang, this is Hillary Clinton, of all people.
The woman’s height of hubris and complete lack of self-awareness is damn near breathtaking, but we’ve been listening to her holier-than-thou, hypocritical bilge for 30 years, so most of us were long ago “velocitized” by her silly self-aggrandizement to the point of simply tuning her out.
Finally, Hillary implored America to engage in some good, old-fashioned “soul searching.”
So we all have to do some serious soul-searching about how we relate to one another in this much more complicated information environment where demonizing and scapegoating are just accepted strategies.
No word if Hillary was looking in the mirror as she admonished the rest of us.
Still, it’s sometimes fun to be reminded that the self-important two-time presidential campaign loser stubbornly refuses to ride off into the meemaw sunset and instead keeps banging her drum in the desperate hope that enough naive “Hilliarites” remain, just to make her feel good about herself.
In Hillary Rodham Clinton’s case, ignorance is indeed bliss.
