Adam Lanza was a 20-year-old youngster suffering from Asperger syndrome. It is a form of Autism Spectrum Disorder that affects social behavior.

Additionally, the young man was the victim of depression, anxiety, and OCD. He has been described as a “fidgety” and “deeply troubled” kid.

According to reports, the mass murder resulted due to his deteriorating mental health. Also, due to the preoccupation with deadly weapons.

Lanza is believed to have shot his mother, before the mass shooting. The weapons he used for killing belonged to his mother.

He had shot his mother four times with a .22-calibre rifle. The killer then used his mother’s car to reach the Sandy Hook Elementary School.

In the latter shooting, the killer had used a Bushmaster XM15-E2S rifle. The deadly incident resulted in the death of 20 children and six teachers.

According to the reports, most of the shootings had taken place in the first grade. Only two of the victims were able to survive his deadly attack.

Ultimately, Lanza shot himself in the lower rear portion of his head. No suicide notes or reason behind the shooting were found.
