High temperature can affect our cognitive performance. According to research published in the journal PLOS Medicine, heat wave induces more sweating which leads to loss of water from our body. Losing a lot of fluids during summer season is natural and we should constantly replenish them by drinking a lot of water. But, when our body fluids are not replenished, both our body and brain function suffers as we get dehydrated. Experts state that temperature fluctuations can severely impact our brain which causes loss of energy and productivity and brain fog.
