Jamie Foxx is a complete inspiration. The actor, comedian, and singer has become one of our favorite entertainers, looks downright amazing at 54, and has a heart of gold. The talented celeb has brought us tons of great films, including “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” “Django Unchained,” “Annie,” and “Ray.” It’s no wonder why Foxx has earned an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award, a Golden Globe, a Grammy Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award.

Most recently, Foxx stars in “Day Shift,” a brand new comedy-horror flick on Netflix. Jamie Foxx likes snacks just like the rest of us, but he keeps things real when it comes to managing his food choices. “I’m not laying any blame, but some of these Hollywood diets where you eat a basket of air and drink a cup of wind? Don’t do that shit,” Foxx tells Men’s Health, adding, “You need food.”

He starts his day with egg whites, one piece of toast, turkey sausage, and a fresh glass of OJ. Lunch is all about protein, including salmon, bacon, rice, and Brussels sprouts. Steak and veggies are usually on the star’s dinner menu.

In between, Foxx is a healthy snacker, choosing fruits and blackberries. His guilty pleasures? Salt and vinegar chips and pizza—white cheese with sausage is a favorite. He says, “If I snack a lot, that means I’ve got to go run a lot or workout a lot.”

A personal trainer isn’t this celeb’s thing; he works out and manages his own fitness regimen all on his own. He makes his workout the priority of each morning, complete with 20 pull-ups. His solid advice? “If you can get 25 dips, 50 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, if you can get 20 to 30 back extensions, you’re done,” Foxx says, adding, “When you look better, you feel better. So when you eat right you feel right, and that’s what I try to do.”

Jamie Foxx also tells Men’s Journal, “There’s this place called Sports Academy, right around the corner from my house,” adding, “It’s the greatest place in the world to train. It has nine basketball courts, NBA players train there, the rookie Trae Young was there when I was. It has everything you need for training and working out. They have volleyball, they have baseball, and they have some great trainers. Going there is a great way to decompress and get in a workout.”

It’s a spot where he’s had healthy fun with his entire family, adding, “That’s literally how we decompress. They have a computer room for the kids, so when we get there I’ll say, ‘Y’all we gotta work out first.’ And they work out for two minutes and then they sneak up and they’re playing Fortnite. But it’s great to go together, and it helps me get in my training.”

Taking care of himself is not the only thing Jamie Foxx is focused on. In addition to supporting many charities, Foxx has a huge heart.

The actor established the Jamie Foxx Foundation, which supports the health, welfare, and education of kids all over the world. The organization, which is administered by the California Community Foundation, according to its official website, provides housing, along with helping with HIV and AIDS in Haiti and Africa. The organization strives to expedite adoption programs and literacy, in addition to introducing comedy, the arts, and music to kids of every age.

Foxx also started The DeOndra Dixon Fund, along with the Global Down Syndrome Foundation. The fund was established to honor Foxx’s sister, DeOndra, who had Down Syndrome and passed in October 2020 at 36 years old.
