Kurt Coleman has revealed the reason he was rushed to hospital three days ago.
The social media star, 23, told fans he would never be able to consume alcohol again after receiving a diagnosis of pancreatitis, which he blamed on his ‘partying days’.
Pancreatitis is the inflammation of the pancreas, and heavy alcohol consumption is one of the most common causes, along with gallstones.

Symptoms include upper abdominal pain that often feels worse after eating, fever, vomiting, rapid pulse and nausea.
In a video filmed in his hospital bed and shared to Instagram Stories on Monday, Kurt said: ‘I have been diagnosed with pancreatitis, just now. I haven’t eaten in three days, and I am about to’.
In further posts, he revealed he would be turning his back on alcohol, and confessed he’d been consuming booze since his early teens.

He added: ‘I haven’t eaten in three days, I am about to’ before enjoying a sandwich
Ouch! Kurt shared a photo his of his cannula and said he could not wait to remove it
Kurt wrote: ‘I’m just over the moon that I can eat finally and I don’t have any stones, and this can heal, but I will never be able to drink alcohol again and they think this has been caused from my party days. Drinking since I was 13 years old.
‘So when I say, “I’m never drinking again” I truly mean it for real this time. Because alcohol can kill me with having pancreatitis. I’m actually so happy because I might be able to go home soon.’
The influencer added in following posts: ‘I am completely against drinking alcohol now and I will never ever drink a sip of alcohol ever again in my entire life. It’s done. I think of it so differently now it’s poison. It’s changed my whole perspective on it.

Kurt wrote: ‘When I say, “I’m never drinking again” I truly mean it for real this time. Because alcohol can kill me with having pancreatitis. I’m actually so happy because I might be able to go home soon’

‘And I wasted years of my life being ‘wasted’ and I never ever want to get this pain ever again I am telling you guys it was unbearable unexplainable pain. I can’t even explain it.’
Kurt concluded that he would be embracing his new attitude towards alcohol right away.
‘My work has already begun. Straight away. I want to explain more in depth how I felt, so people can know how toxic drinking is and what you can end up like,’ he wrote.
The social media sensation had thanked his friends and fans for their ‘overwhelming support’ after he was rushed to hospital on Saturday.

Posting to Instagram on Sunday from his bed at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne, Kurt said he has been at his ‘lowest’ and in the ‘craziest pain’.
The star went on to praise the ‘beautiful doctors and nurses’ for helping him deal with his anxiety and depression.
