Maryland state Delegate Neil Parrott is the projected winner of the crowded GOP primary in Maryland’s Sixth Congressional District, according to Decision Desk HQ.

As of 10:30 p.m. EDT, Parrott had 65.9 percent of the vote with an estimated 43 percent of votes counted.
The second highest vote-getter is former Washington Free Beacon reporter Matthew Foldi with 14.44 percent. The 25-year-old won several endorsements from high-profile Republicans, such as Donald Trump Jr., Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, and House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, according to Politico. RedState’s Nick Arama wrote about Foldi’s candidacy in June.
Other candidates in the race included Colt Black, Mariela Roca, Jonathan Jenkins, and Robert Poissonnier. Parrott will face off against incumbent Democratic Rep. David Trone in the November general election.
