NICKI MINAJ’S half-sister, Ming Luanli, broke the silence on her relationship with her famous sibling.
Luanli, who shares the same dad as Minaj, spoke about their relationship in a podcast earlier this week.
While speaking with the We in Miami podcast, Luanli touched on the status of her relationship with her half-sister.
Luanli said, “We were never close. She was always like busy and I be doing my s**t too.
“Even though people do think that we are not cool, we’re gonna argue. My sister gets mad at me. This is nothing new, siblings gonna fight.”
However, she did say Minaj was a good sister, saying, “She did check up on me and my dad from time to time.
“She always made sure we were at least good, situated in a way.”
The siblings are the daughters of Robert Maraj, who passed away in 2021 in a deadly hit-and-run.
Similar to her rapper sister, Luanli also pursued a career in the same field.
She’s made it clear, Luanli doesn’t want to be known as “Nicki Minaj’s little sister,” as she emerges into the rap industry.
“I am Ming Mual Li. I’m going to make big moves on my own, without any secret favors. I’m going to climb to the top,” she said.
BULLIED AT SCHOOL
During Luanli’s conversation with the podcast, the up-and-coming musician revealed she was bullied due to her relationship with the Pink Friday rapper.
“I used to be bullied a lot for it,” she said.
“People used to say like ‘oh if this person was your sister, why didn’t she do this for you?’ Why didn’t she do that for you?’

“I never needed her to help me get to my goal.
“I just needed her to see that I can do it and she could be proud of me, without thinking that I needed to have an easy way to get to the top.”
At this time of writing, Minaj has yet to respond to the viral clips.
STRUGGLES ON TOUR
Luanli’s interview comes after Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 tour seems to be struggling to see out any North American tour dates.
Earlier this month, Minaj also had a run-in with the law after she was held by Dutch police right before she was said to take the stage for her Manchester show.
Minaj live-streamed the arrest while at the Amsterdam Airport after being accused of “carrying drugs,” which the rapper denied.
She was later released after spending six hours in a cell and had to pay a fine.
Though she was let go, fans were left furious as many travelled from Scotland to Manchester to see Minaj perform.
She formally addressed the string of events on X, formerly Twitter, telling her fans, “Please please please accept my deepest & most sincere apologies.
“we will have another date for tonight’s show shortly & I’ll probably be able to share it tmrw.”
