Princess Kate is known for her dedication to a healthy lifestyle, rarely deviating from her clean, protein-centric diet. Her preference for the “Dukan Diet” has been widely reported, but she avoids two major food groups almost altogether to achieve the best health she can.

While Princess Kate hasn’t explicitly laid out her regimen, sources suggest that she limits dairy products and carbohydrates in her diet and, when travelling, follows Royal protocol by avoiding seafood. The Princess’ diet emphasises lean proteins, vegetables, and healthy fats while excluding large amounts of carbohydrates and dairy. According to reports, Kate steers clear of dairy and “drinks smoothies morning and afternoon, containing spirulina, kale, matcha (a finely ground green tea powder), spinach, lettuce, cilantro and blueberries.”

Some healthcare providers have warned against the highly restrictive Dukan Diet, which involves alternating phases of eating mostly protein.

It involves eating unlimited lean protein and 1.5 tablespoons of oat bran daily, followed by a ‘cruise phase’ where you alternate between eating lean protein one day and non-starchy vegetables and protein.

The next stage is consolidation, where you eat unlimited lean protein and vegetables plus some carbs and fats.

The final stage is stabilisation, which follows the rules of the consolidation phase, but you can relax the rules if you maintain your weight.

Kate has a penchant for raw foods like watermelon salads, gazpacho, goji berries, tabbouleh, and ceviche, which are believed to be beneficial for skin care. “Kate already has the perfect figure but her motivation is to achieve radiant skin,” an insider revealed to The Daily Mail.

Nutritionists at BarBend previously revealed that the Duchess’s breakfast reportedly consists of a green smoothie packed with kale, spirulina, matcha, spinach, romaine, coriander, and blueberries, followed by a hearty bowl of oatmeal.

They said: “To maintain her enviable figure, Kate matches nutritious, healthy eating with a consistent workout regime of planking and running, and oats can be great exercise fuel, as they release energy throughout the whole workout.”

The Princess is reportedly a fan of salads for lunch, but not your average leafy green kind. Her go-to recipe consists of juicy pink watermelon mixed with avocado, onion, cucumber, and feta cheese.

Lunchtime menu options are believed to lean towards vegetarian or low-meat dishes such as sushi, an array of salads, tabbouleh, ceviche, and gazpacho.

In addition to her nutritious breakfasts and lunches, it’s reported that Kate indulges in hearty dinners, with roast chicken, curry, and soups among her favourite dishes. “In the evenings she indulges her hobby of cooking William’s favourite supper, roast chicken,” revealed Vanity Fair in 2012.

Dinner is where she brings comfort to the table. She often prepares roast chicken, indulges in tantalising curries to satisfy her love for spice, and enjoys various pasta dishes.

When snacking, Kate is said to choose healthy choices like popcorn, raw fruit, goji berries, and olives.
