It’s no surprise that Ron DeSantis has become the Democrats’ bête noire. He is just so much better than they are on both policy and politics, and that makes him dangerous to their ability to continue destroying America.

So we have now reached the “Ron DeSantis is a Nazi” phase of demonization. It’s actually kind of glorious to see, because this tactic only works to gin up their communist base while simultaneous waking people up to a genuine crisis at the border. Few normal people believe DeSantis is really evil, which is why Florida has become a magnet for disaffected Americans who want to move where they are still free to be.

Both Ken Burns the documentarian and Steve Schmidt, the man who “masterminded” the super-impressive John McCain campaign for president, have compared DeSantis’ flying illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard to the holocaust. The actual, honest to God killing of 10 million people, including the genocide of 6 million Jews.

Now I can see why some people compare Martha’s Vineyard to a concentration camp: it has one of the biggest concentrations of entitled jerks in the United States. But the diet is more caviar than moldy bread, and I am pretty sure that mass murder is still not a common practice there. So I think the comparison is a bit off.

In a discussion with CNN about his new documentary about the US role in the Nazi Holocaust, Burns took a nasty shot at DeSantis:

Joining CNN’s John Berman Thursday morning to discuss his new documentary “The U.S. and the Holocaust,” Burns took aim at the Florida governor for flying two planeloads of Venezuelan migrants to Martha’s Vineyard this week, calling it a “disturbing” play of political theater.

“All of your documentaries are about history,” Berman began, “but all of them also make you think about where we are. We woke up to the news this morning that Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida sent two planeloads of migrants to Martha’s Vineyard off the coast of Massachusetts, including kids and whatnot. And I’m not saying, this is not a 1-for-1, this is not a parallel here in any way, but it does address some of the same themes that are part of this documentary.”

Sitting with co-director Lynn Novick, Burns agreed.

“Well, it’s the abstraction of human life. It’s basically saying that you can use a human life that is as valuable as yours or mine or Lynn’s and to put it in a position of becoming a political pawn in somebody’s authoritarian game. This is coming straight out of the authoritarian playbook,” he said.

The documentarian then pointed to other instances in DeSantis’ governance that has highlighted his refusal to participate in the democratic process.

“This is what’s so disturbing about DeSantis, is to use human beings, to weaponize human beings for a political purpose – it’s like when somebody disagrees with him in Florida, like the Walt Disney Company, he punishes them,” Burns continued. “This is not the actions of a person participating in a democratic process in which there’s an exchange of ideas. This is about punishing political enemies, putting on shows, political shows, political theater. And in this case, this is with the lives of human beings.”

So DeSantis’ flight of 50 “undocumented migrants” to the caviar and brie eating and wine swilling Massachusetts island isn’t a “1 to 1” comparison to the Holocaust, but it is holocaust adjacent.

Steve Schmidt takes a related tack in his attacks on DeSantis, comparing him to Nazi Adolph Eichmann, who was one of the masterminds behind the Holocaust, implementing the concentration camp/mass slaughter of the Jews. Think Auschwitz and Buchenwald and the other death camps of the “Final Solution” to the “Jewish question.” Eichmann was hanged in Israel in 1962 after a daring raid where Mossad agents captured him in Argentina and brought him back to Israel for trial. Hanging was far too good for him, but civilized people let God roast evil men in hell instead of doing it themselves.

Ron DeSantis is a “little Eichmann.” Twenty years after the Nazi who planned the logistics of the Holocaust was hanged in Jerusalem, the man who interrogated him gave the world a warning. It should be heeded.

Avner Less said there are Adolph Eichmanns everywhere. He said they are all around us, but harmless and latent in a democracy. Less said the danger comes if democracy falls. He said it didn’t matter if it was a dictatorship of the left or right. What he pointed out was that the “latent Eichmanns” turn deadly in an instant when dictatorships rise.

Ron DeSantis is precisely the type of man Less was describing. A tinge of power in the backwater of Tallahassee, as well as the flattery from political reporters whoring to become the next king or queen of transactional information brokering, have revealed Ron DeSantis’ character. He is a bully. He lacks restraint and judgement. He is arrogant and cruel. He is another MAGA sociopath.

There are plenty of sociopaths in the world, and it is clear that Schmidt is an aspiring one himself. Ron DeSantis is not one of them. Schmidt’s sense of proportion mirrors that of a 2 year-old throwing a tantrum over not getting enough cheerios.

DeSantis is doing a great job of ensuring that illegal aliens arrive safely at the sanctuaries that Leftists have established for them. After all, Florida is not a sanctuary state, so it is only compassionate to help people get where they can be well taken care of and welcomed unconditionally.

The illegal immigration problem is a creation of the Democrats, and Democrats won’t deal with it until they start having to face its consequences. They are perfectly happy to use illegal immigrants as a political tool to saddle the evil Red states with millions of new dependents who strain the resources of the state and crush the plebs who vote Republican.

But as soon as a tiny number of illegals show up in their neighborhoods it is a Code 1 emergency. Soon FEMA will be dispatched, no doubt.

Will the Democrats finally address the problem? Who knows? But I think we can be assured that their billionaire clients will pressure them relentlessly to save their own lifestyles from the consequences of their folly.

UPDATE: According to MSNBC Migrants thank DeSantis for sending them to Martha’s Vineyard
