The assistant principal at a Mississippi college has been fired for studying a kids’s e-book referred to as “I Need a New Butt!” to second-graders.
Toby Price stated he was requested to arrange a Zoom class for the children at Gary Road Elementary School in Byram — and that when the principal failed to indicate up as deliberate, he was informed to learn them a e-book, NBC News reported.
“I text my boss, she said, ‘Well, go ahead and read.’ I wasn’t planning on reading, but I went ahead and grabbed one of my books that I had nearby,” Price informed the community.
“One of my favorites. I read it: ‘I Need a New Butt!’ It’s hilarious,” he stated, including that he had learn the “fun, silly book” at his earlier college and “never had an issue with it.”
He stated that “there are other books that have much more suggestive material that are much more widely accepted,” WLBT reported.
