MMA Career

Sergei Pavlovich debuted in MMA in 2014. In the Fight Nights Global promotion, he made his professional debut. In June 2017, he won the Heavyweight championship with an unblemished 12-0 record. He won the title by unanimous decision over Mikhail Mokhnatkin.

He signed with the UFC after a great reign in Fight Nights Global. At UFC Fight Night 141, he made his UFC debut against Alistair Overeem. He did, however, suffer his first professional loss via TKO in the first round. At UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs. Oleinik, he faced Marcelo Golm. He won the bout by knockout and was named Performance of the Night.

He subsequently knocked out Maurice Greene in the first round at UFC Fight Night 162. Due to an injury, he withdrew from his fight against Ciryl Gane in August 2020. Due to visa concerns, he backed out of his fight against Tom Aspinall at UFC Fight Night 191 in September 2021.
