He was an excellent Cadre. Mr. Museveni stated, “I delayed the announcement so that his children would be informed first.”
The president did not reveal the cause of his death, but close associates said he had stage 4 cancer when he was transferred to Seattle, Washington.
Since February 3, 2022, the speaker has been in the hospital. When he left Uganda on a charted Uganda Airlines flight UR 2, he was hospitalized for seven days in Uganda.
On March 15, 2022, deputy Speaker Ms. Anita Among traveled to the United States to check on Oulanyah. Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny-Dollo, Minister of Health Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng, Democratic Party president Mr. Nobert Mao, and some of his family members were with her.
On March 18, Ms. Among tweeted that the Speaker “is receiving and responding to treatment under the close supervision of his doctors.” “Let us keep him in our thoughts and prayers for a complete and speedy recovery. I implore the public to respect his and his family’s privacy.”
Unfortunately, our prayers could not save him and he lost his life.
