TEEN Mom star Tyler Baltierra’s sister Amber has been arrested in Texas, The U.S. Sun can exclusively report.
Amber, 37, who has appeared on multiple episodes of her brother’s MTV reality show Teen Mom over the years, was busted in Pflugerville on November 29 for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to Travis County court records obtained by The U.S. Sun.
In the mugshot, Amber appears to have two black eyes and other bruises on her bare face.
Her long brown hair looks unkempt, and she wears a striped jail jumpsuit in the photo.
The reality star was given a public defender, or court-appointed attorney.
On January 17, she was ordered to wear an alcohol monitor.
Amber has a court date next month in the case.
YEARS OF TROUBLE
The mom of two has a long history of trouble with the law.
She was arrested in 2013 for possessing narcotic accessories, including a glass smoking pipe. She served 20 days in jail.
In 2018, she checked into rehab in Texas, far from her native Michigan.
Before getting help, she sent a heartbreaking message to her two children, who are now teens.
“My motivation. My inspiration. The reason I breathe and wake up everyday. Mommy loves you to more than you guys may know right now,” she posted on social media.
“You both deserve nothing but the best and I will give that to you. I’m gonna miss you these 90 days.
“I know dad and everyone else will keep you busy this summer. Just know I love you both with every fiber in me.
“When mom gets home she’s gonna be the best woman she can be and an even better mom.”
But in 2019, Amber was arrested and charged with assault. She was sentenced to 18 months of community service in the case.
In February 2022, she legally gave up her rights to custody of her teen son, and placed him with friends.
As The U.S. Sun first reported, she “consented to the suspension of her parental rights” for the “best interests of the minor,” according to the court documents.
It is unclear where her teen daughter currently lives.
She married Jason Williams, who is not the father of her children, in September 2021.
TYLER’S PAIN
Amber’s famous brother has expressed his sadness over his sister’s struggles on his MTV show.
After learning Amber had started drinking again after rehab, Tyler told his wife Catelynn Lowell, “Oh, f**k.”
Tyler said he felt bad for his niece and nephew.
“As a kid, you feel like what’s wrong with me? I’m just irritated with it. Why are you not putting me first?” he vented, relating to his troubled relationship with addict father Butch.
“Why are you not here enough? Why don’t you want to be with me and hang out with me every weekend and go get high? It doesn’t make sense.”
Tyler and Caitlyn live in Michigan with their three daughters, and do not appear to currently have a close relationship with Amber.
The couple famously placed their oldest daughter Carly for adoption soon after her birth in 2009.
