A TikTok creator known as the self-titled ‘King of Leeds’ has been dumped by his girlfriend and was temporarily banned from the app, after £2,000 of food and drink was ordered for him at Wetherspoons.
Tom Birchy went viral on the video sharing app after hordes of food and drink were ordered by followers to his table at The Golden Beam in Headingley.
But the mass of drinks were halted by staff, who stopped fulfilling orders as ‘too much alcohol‘ was being bought for the table, he told followers on May 5.

He has since been dumped by his girlfriend, telling followers: ‘I got sacked off by the Mrs today. That is a very big shame. Very sad about that but we move and we groove.
‘It is tough to take lads but there are plenty more worldies in the sea.’
After posting the first videos about the pub-chain, Mr Birchy’s TikTok account was suspended and he was removed from a Leeds Student Group on Facebook.
Mr Birchy, who used to work in the Wetherspoons in Leeds train station, claimed that his followers had been ‘robbed’ alleging a ‘breach of contract’ in one video.
‘If you lot have enough time, send some emails through, because that’s a state,’ he said in a second video.
‘Someone bought me a steak, someone bought me a bottle of Prosecco, and I have a pint, one f***ing pint.’
He then mimicked staff telling him they couldn’t fulfil the orders before shouting: ‘F***ing get more staff… hire more people’, as spit sprayed from his mouth.
In a more recent video, he updated his 190,000 followers after being told by Wetherspoons that they would get a refund.
‘Remember when I got barred from the Wetherspoons in Leeds for getting thousands of pounds worth of drinks for free to my table and they never brought them,’ he said in the video.
‘Everyone kicked off at me for flagging off the staff for not giving refunds to the people who bought me the drinks.

‘Well it’s a bloody good job I kicked off isn’t it. Now, they’re refunding everyone.’

In a statement after the £2,000 incident, a spokesperson for Wetherspoons said mass orders to one table slows down service for the pub’s customers.
They added: ‘It is also contrary to the Company’s responsible drinking policy, which is designed to promote the statutory licensing objectives, an important part of the pub licensing system.
‘As a matter of common sense, it is undesirable for customers to build up a large number of drinks on their table at any one time.
‘The customer was informed that there was too much alcohol being ordered to his table and the pub would not fulfil any other orders.
‘We understand at this stage, he asked his followers to send drinks to other tables.
‘Refunds could not be processed on the day are currently being processed for the food and drink not delivered. We are working through the refunds as quickly as we can but due to the volume, there may be some delay.’

Mr Birchy posts regular videos on TikTok, detailing his life. He has told followers that he used to live in Windsor, and is currently looking at moving from Leeds to London.
In one video posted on April 22, he claimed that he shot a woman with a BB gun near Windsor Castle when he was eight.
‘You put two double A batteries in and … you could just skeng people mate… 180 bullets per minute — mad thing.
‘Little eight-year-old me was looking out the window, taking pot shots at windows and cars … when I see a lady, I spy her, locked on.
‘And I unleash a torrent of hell down upon her with my little yellow BBs… some hit her in the back.’
He said in the video that two armed police men then knock on his front door, where he gets a ‘dressing down about the dangers of sticking a gun out a window near Windsor Castle.’
He has also posted a video stating that he would like to ‘join a gang’ when he moves to London, after watching Top Boy — a drama set in east London about tensions between drug gangs.
‘If you know any gangs in London who are recruiting posh white boys from up north, let me know, he said.
He has also called for the ‘partial’ decriminalisation of drink driving, calling for a special licence for people who can prove they can drive ‘while absolutely clarted’.
