She told The Sun of her experience after leaving I’m A Celeb: ‘I had everything I ever wanted. The public liked us, I’d left behind Geordie Shore and I had this new shiny career.

‘But I was convinced that people would realise I wasn’t anything special and it would all be taken away and I was turning up late for jobs. I don’t think I ever turned up drunk, I always slept, but I was not in a fit state to work.

‘When you’re doing talk shows you want to be witty and warm, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, not still shaking off the lethargy of five gin and tonics.

‘I hated myself back then. I work very hard to not become that person.’

She added that she started to become ‘unprofessional in her work’ and began to ‘jeopardise everything she’d ever wanted’ due to the drinking making her ‘sloppy and aggressive’.

Vicky went on to explain that her management sat her down and asked her why she was so unhappy, at which point she started going to therapy.

It comes after Vicky, who has been dating beau Ercan Ramadan for three years, revealed she is planning to freeze her eggs next month because she doesn’t want to rush him into having a child.

The star also insisted £10k process should be a ‘basic human right’ as she prepares to fork out for the procedure.

Speaking to Vogue Williams on her own podcast, The Secret To, Vicky said: ‘I know I should probably get a move on, and I can’t remember who I was speaking to really recently, but the penny dropped.

‘And I’m definitely going to freeze my eggs in [January] because I’m just still not there y’know?

‘They really do have your eyes out for this process, don’t they? It’s like “you want to cheat biology, you think you’re bigger than mother nature? Give us £10,000.”

‘And I’m thinking “f**k off, this should be a basic human right, mate”.’

Of having children with her boyfriend, she insisted: ‘We’re not ready, I know we’re not but bless him, Ercan’s 28 and I don’t want to rush his timeline for the sake of my own…

‘And end up being with someone who probably feels quite resentful and wasn’t ready for that kind of [responsibility] and [pressure].

‘I already feel like roping him into getting [the dog] Milo some days is too much. Half of me is like “come on Vicky, you’re in a loving relationship, just do it”. But the other half is like there’s so many things telling me I’m just not quite there.’
