Vox: We’ve learned from China that short-term lockdowns could be key in future pandemics
We’re not sure why we’re reading a story about lockdowns in 2023, but Vox thinks we have something to learn from China, which only recently eased up on its lockdowns and is seeing a spike in COVID cases. “The public health lessons learned from the end of China’s zero-Covid era might be some of the most important in preparing for future pandemics and learning how to live with diseases,” writes Rachel DuRose.
Lockdowns can help end a pandemic. They just have to be used at the right time. https://t.co/UEVGY9jQKN pic.twitter.com/wpNCMoYCRF

Thanks for reminding us why your organization is a failure, about to go bankrupt, and has lost any shred of credibility. Go lock yourself down if you love lockdowns so much.

“No one is talking about lockdowns. That’s a strawman.”

It’s just astonishing. These people will argue, “no one ever advocated adopting China’s lockdowns,” then the very next day publish a long article urging everyone to adopt China’s lockdowns. I mean, it’s right there, the article literally uses the word “lockdown” 35 times.

Only a willing human rights criminal would write that.

True lockdown has never been tried

Did someone fat-finger the date on a scheduled tweet in 2020? That’s the only explanation for still tweeting this in 2023

Sounds like true lockdowns, much like true socialism, just hasn’t been tried yet. Next time “The Science” (TM) will get it right.
