Breakfast consisted of 50g of oats with a scoop of protein powder, followed by lunch which was 200g of chicken, 250g of potatoes, 100g of green vegetables.

For dinner, Matthew opted for 150g of turkey meatballs with hot sauce, 75g of pasta and 100g of green vegetables.

He also had a few snacks; three rice cakes with peanut butter for example, or a Square’s bar, or protein shake to help curb hunger pangs or cravings.

Matthew ate these meals every day, and would have an “off-plan meal at weekends with family”.

When asked whether he consulted a nutritionist, doctor or healthcare professional about the best way to lose weight, Matthew said he did it “all on his own with no PT or coach”.
