Arlene Dickinson is not ill; she is in good health, and there is no official news on her illness.
On the other hand, Dickinson was reported to be suffering from a mild illness in a 2018 article by Global News, which revealed that she could not receive her honorary doctor of law degree in person at a convocation event due to illness.
She began working for Venture Communications in 1988 and became the company’s sole owner in 1998. Arlene Dickinson Enterprises (ADE) was founded in October 2012 to fund and target Canadian companies.

She has served on several boards, including Ad Rodeo, Kids Help Phone, and the Calgary Municipal Lands Corporation.
Dickinson’s debut book, Persuasion, an autobiography, was published in 2011. In 2013, she published her second book, All In, with the subtitle “You, Your Business, Your Life.”
Her third book, Reinvention: Changing Your Life, Your Career, and Your Future, was released in 2019.
