Sometimes, karma takes a lifetime to arrive. Whether it’s karma, fate, odds, or inevitability, Joe Biden’s decades of dishonesty, flat-out lies, plagiarism, and hypocrisy finally appear to be catching up with the 80-year-old politician who became a multimillionaire while “working” in Washington, D.C., for half a century.

Unless you’re obsessed with every new revelation of Biden’s deepening classified documents scandal — I’m not but I do relish in it — and the lies he and his administration continue to tell about it, some of which contradict previous lies, it’s hard to keep up with the latest developments.

As we reported on Monday after the fifth trove of classified documents in Biden’s possession was “found,” things really got bad. How bad, you ask? Even MSNBC’s dynamic “Morning Joe” duo, Joe Scarborough and wife Mika Brzezinski stopped buying the White House’s nonsensical excuses. I mean, when a Democrat loses Joe and Mika, both of whom are still riddled with stage 4 Trump Derangement Syndrome, you know that Democrat is in trouble.

And as we reported on Sunday, White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain, in a Nixonian White House development, is expected to resign following Biden’s (pretend) State of the Union address, another clear indication that all is not well in Nixon’s Biden’s White House — and it’s likely to get far worse.

Hell, even veteran Illinois Senator Dick Durbin, the Democrat snake of snakes, on Sunday slammed the Biden administration’s awful handling of the worsening scandal, calling it “outrageous” and “unacceptable.”

So now what? How much longer can Biden & Co. imply that the ever-growing number of classified documents were “inadvertently” taken or “mishandled”?

Fox News Legal Analyst Gregg Jarrett on Monday night addressed the above questions and others during an appearance on “Hannity.” Armed with a federal statute and a whole lot of legal knowledge, Jarrett meticulously shredded Biden and his White House over their handling of the document scandal.

In a direct counter to Biden supporters’ primary defense that negligence or lack of knowledge of the “misplacement” of classified documents is a legitimate defense for Biden, Jarrett pointed to the aforementioned federal statute:

I disagree that intent and knowing and willful is the only standard. If you examine Section F of 18 U.S.C. 793, that also provides for gross negligence or carelessness.

The passage in the statute reads:

… whoever, being entrusted with or having lawful possession or control of any document… or information relating to the national defense, through gross negligence permits the same to be removed from its proper place of custody … shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 10 years, or both.

Jarrett argued that the statute, combined with the increasing number of classified documents discoveries, “renders inadvertence implausible, and instead seems to be the definition of recklessness; gross negligence, under the statute.” He added: “So I think legally there would be a fairly strong case.”

In response to Biden’s latest ridiculous claim that he takes the handling of classified documents “seriously,” Jarrett scoffed:

What’s next, Corn Pop did it.? I mean, it’s getting absurd.

Jarrett also stressed the most salient difference between Biden’s classified documents scandal and that of former President Donald Trump, from whom the FBI recovered classified documents during a raid on his personal residence at Mar-a-Lago on August 8, 2022.

Finally, Jarrett reminded host Sean Hannity that declassification is an “exclusive power” of the commander-in-chief and that Biden lacked the authority of Trump or any president because he was the vice president at the time that the ever-growing number of classified documents were illegally taken.

Anyway, my latest admonition, used in another case — “Play stupid games, win stupid prizes” — also applies to Biden’s implausible classified documents excuses. The question is when all is said and done, what will Corn Pop’s pal’s prize finally be?
