Who Are All The One Hit Wonders In Uber One’s Super Bowl 2023 Commercial?
On February 12, sports enthusiasts worldwide are set to tune in to the Super Bowl LVII –– which is set to feature the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. While the event is sure to feature an array of eye-opening plays along with Rihanna’s grand return to the music world, it’s also going to feature various Super Bowl commercials. One of the adverts in the lineup is a collaboration between Sean “Diddy” Combs and Uber One, per People. At the start of the hilarious commercial, heads of the ride-share company ask the producer to make a hit for their new membership. “You want me to do a jingle,” Combs says, to which his bodyguard adds, “Diddy don’t do jingles.”
However, instead of tackling the Uber One ditty by himself, the “Coming Home” rapper called in an array of iconic “one-hit wonders” –– including Montell Jordan, Kelis, and Donna Lewis — to customize their specific hit singles for the partnership. In a statement to USA Today, Uber One’s Global Executive Creative Director Danielle Hawley gave insight into the commercial. “As the only global company that helps you go anywhere and get anything, our membership program is the best way to save,” she said. “We want people to remember that, so for this year’s Super Bowl ad, we set out to help everyone get Uber One stuck in their heads.”
