Who is Allyson Duckro ?

An Ohio woman clutched a pillow as she spoke to police after her father shot and killed her ‘trespassing’ ex-boyfriend on the porch as he tried to get inside.

James Rayl, 22, was shot three times by Michell Duckro, 52, after he showed up unannounced at his home on July 31.

Rayl had previously dated Duckro’s daughter Allyson

Rayl had previously dated Duckro’s daughter Allyson, 22, but the couple split a year and a half before the tragic incident.

Rayl left his ex-girlfriend a voicemail the night before the shooting, saying he wanted to check on her.

Chilling Ring camera footage captured the moment Duckro fired through the front gate of his property on North Kuther Road, killing an unarmed Rayl.

Rayl can be seen trying to make his way onto the property, as Duckro says “James no, get off my porch” and then “I’ve got a gun” before shooting him.

He then staggers away from the gate before collapsing in the property’s driveway, with only his feet visible on camera.

Neighbors are also seen running after hearing “four or five” gunshots, but Rayl was left lying on the ground dying for at least seven minutes before police arrived.

Callous neighbors just stare at Rayl as he lies dying on the front porch of his ex-girlfriend’s family estate in Sidney, Ohio, on July 31.

Mitch Duckro, 52, and his daughter Allyson, 22, can be seen here speaking to Shelby County Sheriff’s deputies for the first time.

James Rayl, 22, tried to break into the home of his ex-girlfriend Allyson Duckro when his father shot him three times, killing him.

Jeffery Hereford can be seen walking across Duckro’s front lawn, saying “don’t shoot me” and “he doesn’t have a gun.”

He then said ‘he’s dead, he was shot’ and ‘he’s not moving’, before he and two others argue about him for seven minutes as Rayl lay dying.

Stacie told neighbors that they already called emergency services and were initially told to stay away because they thought she had a gun.

She can then be heard yelling “he tried to get to our daughter” and “he tried to get in.”

Hereford then asked ‘did you shoot him?’ before they yelled ‘yes!’ to him, and he replied ‘it’s not moving, it’s not going anywhere’.

Two other neighbors can also be seen standing and watching, as they wait for the police.

Incident

They said “he’s barely breathing, he’s having a hard time breathing” and “I don’t see any blood” before moving closer to Rayl’s body and adding “he’s dead”.

Duckro’s $436,000 estate in Ohio has also been put up for sale since the incident.

Rayl was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders, and the autopsy ruled that he suffered two gunshot wounds to his shoulders and a fatal wound to his back.

In the final voicemail from him to his ex, Rayl says, ‘Hi Ally, this is James, I just wanted to check in with you because I just wanted to see how you’re doing.’

‘And maybe hearing from you if that would be nice, I guess. It’s been a while since I’ve talked to you and I don’t know, I feel like I don’t know what I feel.

Charged

Duckro reportedly responded to her by saying “what’s up” after receiving the voicemail, despite the family’s claims that he was “scary”.

Sources have also claimed that Allyson had previously worked with the Sheriff’s department as a dispatcher.

A grand jury ruled 8-1 that Duckro should not be charged with a felony charge, according to the “Stand Your Ground” ruling in the Ohio state legislature.

Legislation and ‘Castel Doctrine’ laws allow homeowners to use deadly force when threatened.

In the 911 call, Allyson Duckro can be heard praising her father and saying, “Dad, there’s nothing you could have done, you saved my life.”

Statement

In a joint statement, the Shelby County Prosecutor and the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office said: “The front door was a solid wooden door with a deadbolt.

‘The deadbolt was found to be in the closed position and the casing on the lock side of the door was broken.

Three holes were found in the decorative glass window in the door and three spent 9mm hollow point cartridges were found on the floor. The gun was located on the mantelpiece.

The occupants of the residence were identified as Mitch Duckro, Stacy Duckro, and Allyson Duckro, and initial interviews of the Duckros were conducted at the location.

Mitch Duckro stated that he fired the gun and admitted to firing it three times. Allyson Duckro said that she was familiar with James Rayl, since they dated until they broke up a year and a half before.

“She informed the police about a voicemail that Rayl had left for her late the night before.”

Rayl’s family launched a “Justice for James” campaign, saying that he was “killed” by Duckro and that “justice will be served”.

His sister Jessica also posted online: ‘Mitch shot him in the back and killed him. And we know more than just that Mitchy.

I hope your days are more miserable than ever. You are a disgusting excuse for being human along with your daughter.
