Who is Ammy Singleton ?
A substitute teacher in rural South Australia has faced court for inappropriately communicating with a child.
Ammy Singleton faced court in Port Augusta on Wednesday morning after being accused of communicating with a child to make him susceptible to s*xual activity between November 1 and 30 last year.
Arrested and Charged
Ms. Singleton was arrested on December 23 last year and made her first court appearance on February 14.

Port Augusta West Primary School Principal David Lawton sent a letter to parents earlier this year to inform them that Ms Singleton had taught students for one day in July 2020.
“The police have informed the Department of Education that they have no objection to the department informing the school community,” he said.
“This incident does not involve any students at our school and information available at the school suggests there is no need to be concerned about any children at our school.”

‘Ms Singleton has bail conditions that prevent her from engaging in any work related to children.
‘If she has any concerns about the safety and well-being of her child, please feel free to contact me directly at the school.’
Ms. Singleton will face the Port Augusta Court again on July 20.
South Australian Police did not provide any further details about the case when contacted by Daily Mail Australia.
