Berfin Ozek Wiki
Berfin Ozek Biography
Who is Berfin Ozek ?
This is not how the romantic notion of “love is blind” is supposed to develop.
A young Turkish woman married the man who threw acid in her face and eyes, leaving her permanently disfigured with poor eyesight.
Berfin Ozek, 20, married Casim Ozan Celtik, 23, this month, just two years after she doused him with the chemical during a heated argument, Newsflash first reported.
The pair had previously dated and were said to be apart at the time, and Celtik allegedly yelled this despicable cliche at Ozan just before the attack: “If I can’t have you, no one can.”
Ozak, who was partially blind, filed a police report against Celtik at the time and was subsequently arrested. However, he reportedly lovingly bombarded her with messages of reconciliation and asked for her forgiveness.
Ozan relented and agreed to withdraw her complaint, writing: “We have written many letters to each other. I have given myself to him. I love him very much, [and] he loves me very much. ”
He later asked his lawyer to reinstate the complaint.
Ex Boyfriend
As a result, his ex-boyfriend was sentenced to 13 years and six months in prison for the attack on a court in the Iskenderun district, Turkey.
At one point he asked the police if he could withdraw his complaint against him, writing at the time: “I don’t feel comfortable with him between four walls there.
“We have written many letters. I have given myself to him. I love him very much, he loves me very much.”
Father
But due to a change in the law, coupled with rule changes introduced by the Covid-19 pandemic, Celtik was released on parole.

Upon her release, he immediately proposed to her, and she accepted.
The couple tied the knot earlier this month, to the surprise of her family.
Berfin’s father, Yasar Ozek, said: “She got married without our knowing it. I have fought for her for years, and now all of this has been in vain.”
Lawyer Ramazan Erdogan said
Lawyer Ramazan Erdogan said: “The defendant became a convict with the approval of the verdict.
A lawyer told the outlet that “if it weren’t for the pandemic,” Celtik would still be behind bars, serving time in an open prison.
The newlyweds have yet to respond to the strong criticism they have received on social media.
One person criticized Ozek, saying: “If you ask me who is the stupidest person in the world, I will answer by naming this woman. Next time, this man will skin her alive. ”
Another wrote: “Your forgiveness of him should not have prevented him from being punished. It’s a shame, I hope not, but this marriage will end in a month or two, and the poor woman will be left with the brutality that she experienced. ”
Meanwhile, this international incident follows a series of similar incidents of domestic violence in Mexico. A group of acid attack survivors came together to speak out in Mexico City despite high rates of violence in the country, often targeting women, and staggering levels of impunity.
