Who is Hannah Sindrey ?
Two mothers murdered a man at a New Year’s Eve party while their six children were upstairs after he snatched their two mobile phones in a row, a court has heard.
Hannah Sindrey is accused alongside co-defendant Kelly Blackwell, 26, of killing Sindrey’s 31-year-old boyfriend Paul Fletcher, who was stabbed through the heart at her home in Rayleigh in Essex.

Hannah Sindrey is charged along with co-defendant Kelly Blackwell, 26, of killing Sindrey’s 31-year-old boyfriend, Paul Fletcher, who was stabbed in the heart at her home in Rayleigh in Essex.
Prosecutor Christine Agnew QC said in a trial in Basildon Crown Court that Fletcher took the women’s phones after taking cocaine and became paranoid that Sindrey may have misled him.
A neighbor heard Sindrey on the balcony yelling: ‘Call the police, they stabbed him,’ the court heard.
Another said Blackwell appeared “intoxicated, climbing stairs covered in blood and screaming” my babies. ”
Murder
Ms. Agnew said that a neighbor called the police in the early hours of New Year’s Day and it was discovered that Mr. Fletcher, also known as Dod, had been stabbed.
Sindrey, of Rayleigh, and Blackwell, of Basildon, deny the murder.
Ms Agnew said both women were responsible for the ‘joint attack’ as Blackwell first received the knife before Sindrey ‘stabbed him when Blackwell attacked him’.
The prosecutor said: ‘They were angry and enraged, no doubt encouraged by the other’s behavior, and enraged that he had taken their mobile phones and was behaving irrationally.
They both played a role.
Ms Agnew said: “Both women denied that they were responsible for the murder of Paul Fletcher and both blame the other.”

She said Sindrey wrote in a message to Blackwell on December 30
She said Sindrey wrote in a message to Blackwell on December 30: ‘What do you do on New Years Eve? Would you like to have a party for the children?
Six children, all five years old or younger, were in Sindrey’s apartment when the police arrived, two of them Sindrey’s children and four Blackwell’s.
Ms. Agnew told jurors, “They will not listen to any of the children during this trial,” adding that “any evidence they may provide could not be considered objectively reliable.”
A fourth adult, Fletcher’s friend Paul Carter, had been to the flat before but left the party and didn’t know that Fletcher had been stabbed until the next day, when he saw messages for him to rest in peace, Agnew said.
A neighbor took the six children to her apartment with her partner while the police attended.
Ms. Agnew said that Sindrey met Mr. Fletcher while he was on a prison release plan and was released in October 2020.
She said: ‘Clearly the relationship was volatile.
“ They argued on a regular basis and sometimes that turned into violence from both sides. ”
She said Mr. Fletcher “was concerned if she [Sindrey] was cheating on him.”
A neighbor said that earlier in the evening, when the fireworks were lit outside, Mr. Fletcher and Sindrey “seemed to be in love and kissing and hugging.”
A neighbor called the police at 12:58 a.m. on New Year’s Day and Fletcher was pronounced dead at 1:48 a.m.
Officers said both Blackwell and Sindrey were “hysterical” with Sindrey “kicking and punching.”
She recovered a bloodstained knife from the floor kitchen sink drain area, Ms. Agnew said.
The trial, which could begin in early January, continues.
