A reveler has been accused of a racist attack on Earth, Wind and Fire star Morris ‘Mo’ Pleasure at a Welsh nightclub.
The US-born musician was attacked at the Pier Pressure nightclub in Aberystwyth on April 3 after passing a man in a queue at 2am.
Mr Pleasure, 60, who also played with Michael Jackson and the Average White Band, was slapped on the head and racially abused as he entered the club. The attack was caught on CCTV.
Hefin Parker, 25, of Aberystwyth, has since been charged with racially aggravated common assault and assault in hitting Mr Pleasure.
He is scheduled to appear before city magistrates on Wednesday.

Mr. Pleasure moved to the seaside town of Aberystwyth, Wales, over two years ago with his wife who grew up there.
He was with two sisters of his wife Kedma Macias at the Pier Pressure club on Royal Pier when he was attacked.
Police called for witnesses to the attack on the multi-instrumentalist, who is the music director for star Bette Midler, and released video footage in connection with the assault.
At the time of the alleged attack in April, Mr. Pleasure said: “It was a deeply disturbing experience.
‘Aberystwyth is a magical place that has become my family’s home for the last year and a half. I have been very well received by the people of Aber and the support I have received since this incident has been overwhelming.
The couple, whose daughter is just under a year old, thanked the community for their support.

Mr Pleasure said: “My wife and I have a little girl, so we feel we have a responsibility to speak out against racism when we see it and hear it, in the hope that our daughter does not have to encounter this kind of abuse in her life. ‘
His wife added: ‘No one is more supportive of Aberystwyth than I am. Racism is everywhere.
It happens all the time, even in little things that people don’t realize. It’s about education and people having a deeper understanding that even in our beautiful city, racism can and does happen. As a community, we want to eradicate that and denounce it.’
Ms Macias, speaking just days after the attack, recalled how the strike came from a man queuing to get to the scene, who then aimed “every racist slur under the sun” at Mr Pleasure.
‘They were having a great night. My sisters went in first and when Mo followed them, they slapped him on the back of the head,” she said.
She described the bouncers as ‘great’ and ‘on Mo’s side’ when they ordered the attacker to leave.
‘Mo came home very upset. He said, “I’m used to this,” Ms. Macias recalled.
‘And that made me feel very sad. What happened was absolutely disgusting. As a black man from America, he’s been through this kind of thing his whole life.
She said the police were “excellent” in offering Mr. Pleasure emotional support and classifying the attack as a hate crime.
