“On June 27, 2016, in breach of the conditions of his license and bond, Mr Watson failed to return to the approved facility in Northampton by 11pm,” Rasiah said.
“As a result of that noncompliance, on June 28, 2016, his license was revoked and he was placed back in prison, which entitles a police officer to arrest him on the spot and then return him to prison.
Charged

‘As you don’t have a passport, you’ll have to go to the British Consulate so they can help you.’
A European arrest warrant was issued on July 29 requesting Watson’s extradition for violating the terms of his license.
On August 2, Watson was arrested in Lisbon at the Consulate building and was transferred home on August 12.
The prosecution has now closed his case and Watson is due to testify on Monday.

On April 19, 1993, Watson was interviewed at Thorpewood Police Station in Peterborough.
Price said: “James Watson denied touching [the five-year-old boy] but said he had told [him] to ‘shake his penis after going to the bathroom.’”
Jurors heard that Watson admitted touching the five-year-old’s genitals in an interview with police on April 20, 2016, 23 years after the incident.
Watson had been arrested on suspicion of Rikki’s murder.
The officers began by asking him if he had a “s*xual taste” for younger children when he himself was young.
Investigation
Police then referenced the five-year-old’s s*xual assault allegation, and Watson said he remembered it.
When asked to speak about it, he replied: ‘I don’t want to, I’ve been told about it.’
DC Nigel Ebdale asked: ‘Did it happen the way it has been described?’
‘Mhm, yes,’ replied Watson.
‘So you’ve touched [the five-year-old’s] penis?’ the detective asked.
Watson replies: ‘I did, yes…I told you I don’t want to talk about it. We were just two kids playing with each other’s dicks, it’s as simple as that.
Watson was reminded that he denied the allegation in 1993.
“What he’s saying now is that it actually happened the way I just described,” DC Ebdale continued.
“Mhm,” Watson responded.
‘If you liked little boys, is that why it happened?’ the investigator asked, to which he replied, ‘No.’
Jurors then heard more details about the alleged s*xual assault.
