Who is Jeffrey Verbance ?
A 40-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman were arrested and charged last week for allegedly kidnapping and beating a 27-year-old woman.
According to WZVN-TV, the unidentified female victim was found in the back bedroom of Jeffrey Verbance’s home with a nearly swollen bruised left eye and a bruised upper lip, as well as a completely swollen left side of her face.wikipedia
The victim reportedly had an argument with Verbance on November 22 while they were traveling to Naples from Tallahassee by car. WZVN reports that Verbance struck the victim in the face and bit her hand. He allegedly stopped the car on the side of a road, stole her phone, and forced her out of it before returning to pick her up.

The unidentified victim said that on November 22, she and Verbance were traveling to Naples from Tallahassee and argued during the car ride. She said that he punched her in the face and head, and also bit her hand. Shortly after, she stopped the car, took her phone and made her pull out on the side of the road, but then came back to pick her up.

When authorities arrived at Verbance’s home, WZVN reports that the home’s front door was covered with bungee cords to prevent an exit. When officers tried to enter the home, Finigan did not allow them to enter. They eventually made their way onto the back porch, reports WZVN.
Arrested and Charged
According to jail records, Verbance and Finigan were arrested on Thursday, November 25, and charged with kidnapping: false imprisonment. Finigan also faces one count of obstruction of an officer. Both are due to appear in court on December 20.
According to WZVN, the woman claimed that she had been in Verbance’s room since the car trip to Naples. To treat her injuries, the victim asked Verbance and another woman in the household, Catherine Finigan, 68, to take her to the hospital, but both said no, according to an arrest report obtained by WZVN.
