Leondra Kruger is an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of California in the United States. She worked as a clerk for U.S. Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens before becoming a professor.
She also worked in the Office of Legal Counsel and as an acting Principal Deputy Solicitor General of the United States from 2010 to 2011.
In 2014, California Governor Jerry Brown nominated her for a seat on the state’s Supreme Court. On January 5, 2015, she was chosen and sworn in.

Leondra Kruger Religion: Is She Jewish?
Leondra is a Jewish. Oth her parents were immigrants.
She was born in Genlade, California, and grew up in South Pasadena.
Kruger attended Polytechnic School and earned her Bachelor’s of Arts degree magna cum laude from Harvard University.
She graduated with a Juris degree from Yale Law School, where she worked as Editor-in-Chief of the Yale Law Journal and was the first Black woman elected in the position.
Kruger also interned in the United States Attorney Office in Los Angeles in 1999. At the University of Chicago Law School, she was an assistant professor in 2017.

Leondra Kruger Parents: Who Are They?
Leondra was born to Leon Kruger and Dr. Audrey Y. Reid. Both her parents were pediatricians. Her late father was an American Jew and her mother was Jamaican-American.
Leon had attended Harvard University and earned his MD from Boston University in 1951. Her late father flew B-24 aircraft in World War II. Her father was also an athlete and had run in Boston Marathon.
Her mother was also a pediatrician. Her father with his parents had immigrated from Europe to the United States and her mother also immigrated from Jamaica to the United States.

Leondra Kruger Husband And Family
Brian Huck, Leondra’s husband, is her life partner. Brian works at Jenner and Block in San Francisco as a partner. The wedding date and other details are still unknown.
They have two children: a son and a girl. Her son had even attended her inauguration as a member of the California Supreme Court. She gave birth to her daughter a year later, making her the first member of the court to do so while serving on it.
The judge is 45 years old right now. If she is nominated and confirmed, she will be the first black woman and the youngest justice in the Supreme Court’s four-year history.
