A tourist who died after throwing himself off a Majorcan cliff in a tombstone stunt in front of his horrified wife and children has been named as a former footballer.

The 31-year-old tourist was seen at the top of the cliff.
Shocking footage showed the 31-year-old Dutch tourist jumping from a rock on May 12.
As he leaped into the air, Lamrabatte let out a huge scream, but he didn’t have enough momentum to clear the jagged rocks below.
He then crashed into them at high speed, and in the clip his wife could be heard screaming, “Oh my God.”
Police have not yet been able to question her about Thursday’s tragedy because she is still in shock.
An autopsy on Friday revealed that Lamrabatte had drowned in a semiconscious state after hitting the water instead of dying from injuries caused by the impact of crashing into rocks as initially believed.
Overnight, Lamrabatte’s former club SBV Vitesse, one of the oldest professional soccer clubs in the top Dutch soccer league called the Eredivisie, offered condolences to his family and friends in a message on its website.
Chelsea and England star Mason Mount joined the same club on a season-long loan in July 2017 and won the Vitesse Player of the Year award.
Lambrabatte, who used the surname Besselink as a footballer before changing it, used to play for Vitesse’s reserve team, Jong Vitesse.

Statement
His former club said in their statement: “Vitesse has received the sad news that Mourad Lamrabatte has tragically passed away.
“The former Jong Vitesse striker had just turned 31. He wore the club’s colors during the 2010/2011 season, when he was part of the U23 team that won the U23 Cup that season.
“In July 2010 he scored in a first team exhibition game.”
A club spokesman added: “Vitesse wishes Mourad’s family and friends a lot of strength to cope with the great loss of him.”
Unconfirmed local reports said his partner was filming his reckless stunt for a live streaming channel.
He was in a boat they had rented that morning with his two children.
The tragedy occurred shortly before 2:00 p.m. this Thursday in the Malgrats Islands, formed by two islets and located within the municipality of Calvià in front of the bay of Santa Ponsa.
The body of the victim, a sports fan who became a kickboxer after quitting football, was recovered following a search involving police and coastguard divers.
It is unclear if local authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
Tombstoning is a trick where thrill seekers launch themselves off cliff edges and hit the water feet first.
