She and Jamie Theakston co-hosted the 1990s kids’ program Living & Kicking from 1996 to 1999.

The Blackpool native, who also aspires to dance, participated in Strictly Come Dancing’s third season in 2005.

She served as the host of Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two on BBC Two from 2011 to 2021.

The Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour was hosted by the British presenter in 2011 and 2015 as well.

Why Is Zoe Ball Leaving Radio 2 Breakfast Show?

Zoe Ball made the announcement that she would no longer be hosting the Radio 2 Breakfast Show. The radio announcer won’t always be a part of the Breakfast Show, though.

The 52-year-old announced on Twitter on January 29 that she had been diagnosed with cancer and would be taking a break from hosting The Radio 2 Breakfast Show.

Vernon Kay would take her place temporarily while she recovered from her illness, Ball also told the crowd.

Vernon Kay, 48, also announced on Twitter that he would take over the Breakfast Show for a few mornings.

He wished Zoe Ball a speedy recovery and urged the audience to watch the show at 6:30 am.

Vernon Kay then appeared on the Breakfast Show segment from January 30.

What Is Wrong With Zoe Ball? Illness And Health Update

British radio presenter Zoe Ball is currently on leave due to covid illness.

However, the 52-year-old has not given any health update after announcing her illness on 29 January.

Hopefully, Ball is recovering from the covid and taking her time off social media for the time being.

She started hosting The Radio 2 Breakfast Show on 14 January 2019 after replacing former host Chris Evans who presented it for nine years.

Following that, Ball was replaced by Rylan Clark in the Sunday mid-afternoon slot.

Ball has constantly been presenting the show for over four years and recently took a break due to covid.

She is expected to return to The Breakfast show once her health improves.

Zoe Ball was born on November 23, 1970, to parents Johnny Ball and Julia née Anderson in Blackpool, Lancashire, England.

Her father, Johnny Ball, is a television presenter and a populariser in mathematics. He often presented shows related to Mathematics and tricks.

Johnny and Julia divorced when Zoe was two years old. He is married to his current wife, Diane, with whom he resides in Bolton.

Zoe Ball is married to the famous DJ and musician Fatboy Slim (real name Norman Cook).
