Police in Nevada are searching for a young girl who disappeared from Magna on Monday.
Police say that David Lopez, who also goes by Amilsar Vasquez, abducted 14-year-old Areli Arroyo Osuna at around 9:30 a.m. Unified Police Department of Greater Salt Lake spokesperson Melody Culter said Lopez may have driven to Utah from Texas after he met the victim on social media. However, they’re not sure where he’s from exactly or if David Lopez is his real name.
Ariel was last seen getting into a black Nissan Altima, the police department wrote on Facebook. They are treating the disappearance as an abduction and say Areli could be in imminent danger.
The Salt Lake Tribune reports that it’s possible the suspect could be taking the child to Texas or Mexico.
Areli stands 4-foot-7-inches tall and weighs around 90 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing blue jeans, a denim jacket, white Nike shoes, and a black shirt. She was also carrying a large white bag.
