Brandan and Mary Denucciõ are facing scrutiny, after they seemingly backtracked on their claim that she had colon cancer, following their fundraising efforts.

The couple, who star on reality TV series 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way and married last year, had their fundraising page, on the platform GoGetFunding, shut down, after they admitted that Mary has not been diagnosed, but had been experiencing symptoms she saw in TikTok videos.

Brandan, 24, posted on Instagram over the weekend about the fundraising page he created to help pay for surgery to ‘remove [Mary’s] colon cancer’ and ‘save her life.’

‘We need help not judgements,’ he added in the post. On the page, Mary, 24, wrote that she had been ‘diagnosed with colon cancer’ on Friday, after experiencing symptoms on and off since high school, which she thought were ‘normal.’

However, after some began doubting the claims, the pair clarified that there was no official diagnosis, and that they were still awaiting results.

Their GoGetFunding page has since been shut down, with a message reading, ‘GoGetFunding has been requested or required to stop this campaign.’

It was unclear first if the campaign – which raised about $1,300 or so before it was shut down – was stopped by Brandon and Mary of the company.

But a representative for GoGetFunding has since told TMZ that they stopped the campaign, after it was flagged by users for being suspicious, and after they felt they had enough evidence to take it down.

As far as donations, there is no clear path for refunds, and the representative suggested anyone who donated and has since changed their mind will have to dispute the charges with their banks.

However Brandan and Mary told TMZ they were the ones to halt the campaign, due to people’s negative comments.

Mary told the publication: ‘I know i announced i have colon cancer. It’s just im so scared that time because i was in pain and i got all the symptoms. But we are still going back and forth to the hospital and have do all the laboratory requested by the doctors.’

She also added she would no longer post about the matter.

The couple previously released a statement which backtracked on their initial claim, writing: ‘Just to be clear: We don’t know if Mary have colon cancer yet. Yes she posted on her IG that she have colon cancer because she watch TikTok videos of what is the symptoms of colon cancer and she have all of it.’
