The television icon, who is said to have died at her home on Friday, was not battling any particular ailment and did not have a sudden illness, a source close to the star told TMZ.
A film celebrating White’s centennial will still be released as planned.
The producers of Betty White: 100 Years Young said in a statement that they will “go ahead” with plans to release the film’s special on her birthday and that it will serve as a celebration of her incredible life and career.

Roose worked as an actress during the 1940s, although her portrayal of Violet Bick was her only film credit.

Roose married Eugene Richard Auger in 1964
She initially considered becoming a nurse, before deciding to become a psychologist and ultimately a Jungian analyst.
