The father of a five-year-old boy who was found dead after his mother ran off screaming “can’t breathe” has paid tribute to his “best friend.”

A woman in her 30s has been detained under the Mental Health Act.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed that the case will be referred to the Independent Office of Police Conduct (IOPC) due to “prior contact”.
Dylan’s devastated father Gary Keenan, who is believed to be estranged from the baby’s mom, shared a heartbreaking tribute.
He wrote: “To my Dylan, I love you more than everything in this world.
“You were my best friend and I’m really going to miss you son.
“Sweet dreams and we’ll meet again one day. I love you son. RIP Dylan, I love dad.”
Other loved ones also took to social media to pay tribute to the baby.
Jessica Lauren wrote: “RIP for this special boy, Dylan.
“Heartbroken for his family and thoughts are with all of you in this excruciating time. Light up the sky with that beautiful smile.”
A fundraiser has been launched to help the family cover the cost of Dylan’s funeral.
A message shared on the page reads: “I am deeply saddened to have to write this to everyone.
“Some of you may have seen on the news that a five year old sadly lost his life.

“No one should have to worry about burying their son, but the LAST thing I want is for the family to have stress and worry about finances.

“This is something NO family should go through.”
Neighbors said Dylan was a “beautiful boy” who was “cruelly” taken too early.
They recounted how a local man frantically tried to save the boy as the tragedy unfolded.
A neighbor told The Sun Online: “The boy’s mother came out on the street and screamed: ‘He can’t breathe.’
“A woman, who lives a few doors down from there, found out what was happening and entered the house.
“He saw the boy slumped on the couch and he was doing CPR on him.
“But it was too late and he couldn’t save himself.”
The neighbor continued: “He was a beautiful boy.”
Floral tributes and a small teddy bear have been left on stage for the tragic young man.
A note read: “He is a cruel world-RIP small.”
Police confirmed that an investigation is underway, but have not provided further details.
Detective Superintendent Chris Packer said: “Our thoughts are with the child’s loved ones at this heartbreaking time. Specialist officers will offer support.

“Our investigation is in the early stages and we ask anyone with information to contact us or Crimestoppers immediately.
“Due to prior contact with the police, this incident has been referred to our Professional Standards Branch and will be referred to the Independent Office of Police Conduct.
“This sad news is sure to cause anguish in the community, but I would like to offer reassurance that we are doing everything we can to establish the circumstances.”
