You can watch about seven minutes of the Facebook Live video below, but be aware that it contains graphic content.

Brown Deer Police Chief Pete Nimmer said at the first news conference that authorities are “not sure” if the suspect in the shooting is the same man who broadcast the video on Facebook Live, but multiple law enforcement sources told him. to Heavy that police believe the shooter was Huddleston. Also, the man in the video, which aired on Huddleston’s page, says he shot the police officers. The Facebook page was completely removed, but Heavy reviewed it before it was removed. In a second press conference, the boss confirmed: “I was informed that there was a Facebook live broadcast.”

Multiple friends and loved ones identified the man on Facebook Live by his Facebook name “Velle Vell” and as Larvell. Velle Vell’s Facebook URL used the name Larvell Huddleston. “Wow we love you Larvell praying for you and family Remi not ready for you to go yet 💙🙏🏾🙏🏾,” one woman wrote on Facebook. Others posted about the female victim. Heavy is not naming her to ensure that her immediate family can be notified. “Rest, beautiful queen, she definitely didn’t deserve it and even left behind a son. 🥺💙”, wrote a woman who shared photos.

Victim

A photo on the victim’s Facebook page also appeared on Huddleston’s page showing him with a small child and a wad of cash.

Another video shows guns, cash, and a Milwaukee backdrop. Huddleston rapped under the name Velle Vell.

Nimmer said at the news conference that officers were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 8900 block of North Park Court at 10:09 a.m. for “shots fired with a possible victim in the parking lot.” The officers were shot “by a suspect from the second floor” when they arrived, she said.

At a second news conference, the chief said three people are dead. It is a white male, 31 years old; a black woman, 23; and the suspect, a 26-year-old black man.

A fourth person, a 36-year-old black man, was shot in the leg but survived. The boss said it “started as a domestic dispute between two people” and “at least two knew each other.”

Suspect

He said the suspect is now believed to have committed suicide. He is dead. He was shooting from the second-floor balcony, the chief said. He said there was “activity” in the hallway and parking lot, and authorities aren’t sure if anyone was shot.

The chief did not release the names of the suspects or the victims. However, several relatives and friends identified the deceased woman as Arieuna Nichole, the mother of Huddleston’s child. According to her LinkedIn page, her full name was Arieuna Reed and she worked as a medical assistant.

One of the police squads was hit, but no officers were injured and no officers from Brown Deer or other responding agencies returned fire, Nimmer said. There were no children among the shooting victims, Nimmer said. The FBI and the Milwaukee Police Department also responded to the scene.

Tactical teams cleared the building. The chief said there could have been a shooting inside and outside the apartment.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner tweeted that the fatalities are an adult male and an adult female. The names of the victims were not released. The suspect later died, bringing the death toll to three.

A woman shared seven minutes of the now-deleted Facebook Live video on her social media page. You can see it above. In it, the man believed to be Huddleston says that he did not shoot his son, but admits that he did.

You can see a glimpse of a child, a toddler, in the Facebook Live video. He is grabbing a slice of pizza as the suspect talks about shooting police and mental health.

At one point, the video shows the man screaming on the balcony. “Come get my son first… he is in the house with me.” People outside are yelling at him.

“I just want to say I’m sorry. This is going to be the last day everyone will hear from me, brother. I’m sorry. It’s been going on too long. Police here. She died.”

It is not clear who he is referring to. He paces back and forth from the balcony.

“Nothing is going to justify my actions.”

“I am ready to die. I’m ready to end this shit. I’m already shooting at the police and shit,” he said.

“Me mentally, I’ve been through too much. … Just come get my son first.”

“They’re going to have to kill me, brother. I’m going to shoot them all”, he shouts from the balcony to the police.

“I’m not killing myself brother. I’m ready to go. Didn’t I just shoot you? We are not talking.

“This is my outfit that I wanted to be buried in,” he said at another point, showing clothes and shoes lined up on a table. You can see the toys lined up. He appears to be talking to a child in the video, telling him at one point to watch a show.

He then he begins to pray. “I failed you and everyone else. Please continue to watch over my son. … Please forgive me.”

Video

After the prayer, you no longer see it on video for a while. The video shows the ceiling fan.

The video continues for over a minute, but you see nothing but the ceiling fan until 6:45, when it reappears. He asks a man he knows to keep an eye on his son.

“I love everyone who loves me,” he says. It then shows a brief glimpse of his son, holding a piece of pizza. He then yells that he is going to kill himself.

No shots are heard in the video. What appears to be a weapon can be glimpsed at one point, and a body is visible for a second near a car outside during one frame.

The Facebook Live video was streamed on Larvell Huddleston’s page. The video and page have been removed.

Huddleston Has an Open Gun Charge in Milwaukee County

According to Wisconsin court records, Larvell Huddleston has a pending misdemeanor concealed weapon charge in Milwaukee County since October 2020.

He was in court on November 2, 2021 for a jury trial, but the backlogged court system postponed it. “Case scheduled for jury trial. Third call: Judicial procedure with another trial. Defense requests a deferred jury trial date,” court records say.

His jury trial was originally scheduled for July 7, 2021, but it never happened. “Due to the COVID19 pandemic, the court set aside the jury trial scheduled for 07-07-2021,” court records say.

The chief judge previously told Heavy that the court system has a two-year backlog in felony cases and a backlog in jury trials due to COVID-19 policies that limited the number of courts that could hold trials with jury.

The case was filed in 2020 but was still pending. In November 2020, he was released on a bond signed by Judge Jonathan Richards, a former Democratic lawmaker from Milwaukee. “No possession of a concealed weapon without a permit,” the records show.

The only other Wisconsin court record search result for Huddleston is “No Vehicle Registration” in 2018.
